Congratulations to the City of Greater Dandenong Band on winning the B Grade Brass Band section at the 60th Latrobe Valley Eisteddfod!

Thank you to everyone that attended the Forgotten Warrior Memorial dedication at Cranbourne RSL today.

“Make Music … Not War” - The City of Greater Dandenong Band certainly made music for their annual cabaret concert held at the Springvale Town Hall on Saturday 27th June. Once again the band delivered a spectacular and entertaining night of music, dancing, singing, and video presentations to an audience of almost 300.

The City of Greater Dandenong Band is busily preparing for their sixth consecutive Nationals competition to be held in Sydney over the Easter weekend (April 3 - 5). As one of only two Victorian bands to do so (the other being Darebin/Preston in A Grade) the band is rightly proud to represent the city and the state at the biggest contest of the year.

Congratulations to City of Greater Dandenong Band cornet player Maddi Mathers on being awarded to 2014 Victorian State Youth Band ‘Wilf Dyason’ Junior Band Person of the Year!

The City of Greater Dandenong Band has once again travelled interstate to compete at the Mount Gambier Brass Band Festival on the weekend of the 15th of November. The band is extremely happy with their overall performance, placing third in the B Grade Music Contest, winning the Street March and our own Musical Director/Drum Major (Michael Mathers) being awarded the Best Drum Major. The band also collected the highest award of the weekend, the much sought after title of Band of the Year!
