Congratulations to the City of Greater Dandenong Band who recenlty placed second in the Victorian State Marching Championships and first place in both A and B Grades at the Latrobe Valley Eisteddfod! Congratulations also to Musical Director and Drum Major Michael Mathers for winning Best Drum Major at the Victorian State Marching Championships!!

These words rang out through the Springvale Town Hall Saturday night loud and true during the City of Greater Dandenong Band’s annual cabaret – The Sound of Musicals - and “oh what a night” indeed.

The City of Greater Dandenong Band would like to thank and congratulate the Western Australian Band Association and the local organising committee for a stunning 2013 Yamaha National Band Championships. A fantastic Easter weekend of performances by the City of Greater Dandenong Band saw the band place first in the Hymn Piece, second in the Test Piece, and third overall in the Open B Grade Section.

A special concert for those who love the sound of a big brass band! The City of Greater Dandenong Band return to the Drum Theatre with a unique concert showcasing their contest repertoire (prior to their assault on the 2013 National Championships in Perth) with a few lighter items thrown in for good measure.
