The City of Greater Dandenong Band has once again travelled interstate to compete at the Mount Gambier Brass Band Festival on the weekend of the 15th of November. The band is extremely happy with their overall performance, placing third in the B Grade Music Contest, winning the Street March and our own Musical Director/Drum Major (Michael Mathers) being awarded the Best Drum Major. The band also collected the highest award of the weekend, the much sought after title of Band of the Year!

Once again the City of Greater Dandenong Band has pulled off a spectacular evening of musical and visual entertainment with their 4th annual cabaret concert at the Springvale Town Hall.

The City of Greater Dandenong Band has once again travelled interstate to represent the City of Greater Dandenong at the 2014 Australian National Band Championships in Brisbane over the Easter weekend. Competing in its fifth consecutive National Championships (one of only two Victorian bands to do so) the band had a fantastic weekend and performed to a very high standard impressing both the listening audience at the venue and those watching the live stream back home and beyond.

Congratulations to Band Secretary, Catherine Hillman and her husband Matt, on the birth of their baby girl Charlotte Jean Rose Hillman on Monday 3 February!
