VICKI WARE
 

 

 

Vicki started learning piano at the age of 8, and took up the French Horn at the age of 13. She continued on to study music at the University of Melbourne and began to play professionally, before turning her interests to arts-based community development, both in Australia and overseas.

 

 

She completed her doctorate in Ethnomusicology at Monash in 2006, and now lectures in community development at Deakin University, where she continues to research arts-based development.

 

 

Vicki joined Dandenong Band in June 2015, after taking up the Tenor Horn. Besides her family and playing music, her great passions are coffee, chocolate and relaxing in the sun with a good book..
