TRUDY O'SHEA
Band Librarian

After leaving school at an early age Trudy worked in the medical industry and spent most of her spare time studying for her masters in calligraphic arts and archival studies. At 22 Trudy started a mural business with friends where they concentrated most of their time mentoring and teaching disadvantaged youth life skills and of course how to paint and use their artistic abilities.

While building the mural business Trudy also managed a art/papercraft shop where she taught many classes and organised artistic events to raise the profile of local artists.

At the age of 30 Trudy took on a part time job in customer service at the local library where her mum had worked for 25 years. There she found her true love and decided to go back to school after 15 years and study Library and Information Services.

After meeting her husband Todd, Trudy was introduced into the world of brass bands and encouraged Todd to return to banding after his 12 year break. In supporting Todd with his banding, Trudy has found herself being able to use her skills in Library information services and volunteer at the Dandenong Band and help in the music library.

Currently both Trudy and Todd own and run a soy candle business,
