STEPH GILFEDDER
Percussion

Steph first began playing percussion at the age of eight, and although for most kids that age its pot and pans that take their fancy, for Steph it was tuned percussion. Through her high school years, she was an active member in the music program participating in concert bands, choir and jazz bands. Since then she has studied a Bachelor of Music (Performance) at The University of Melbourne and is currently studying at Swinburne University to become a primary school teacher.

Some highlights thus far in Steph’s music career have been playing as a guest musician with the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra, being part of Generations in Jazz with James Morrison, playing with various A Grade bands such as Darebin and the newly formed Glenferrie and of course playing with the ‘Nong’ Band which Steph has been a part of since 2006.
