Starting her music career at the age of 8 on recorder Sharon soon moved onto clarinet (aged 10) which she was playing when invited to have a blow with Caulfield Band. This invitation saw her eventually learning tuba which she stuck with for 2-3 years.
In 1985 she joined Dandenong on tuba and has since played tenor horn, baritone and euphonium with the band - eventually finding her way back to her beloved tuba.
Married with two children, Sharon loves ten pin bowling, music and relaxing. During her time with the band she has served on the committee and has also served as librarian.
