RHIANNON HILL
Second Cornet

 

Rhiannon began her music career at the age of 12 on the flute which she has continued to play over a 14-year period and currently plays with the Cranbourne Lions Concert Band. She was recruited to the Dandenong Band in 2011 after a work colleague and fellow musician Rachelle Thom 'dragged her to rehearsal'.

 

Despite having never played brass before she was convinced not only to stay but to commit to accompanying the band to the Nationals competition in Adelaide 2011, no small ask for a 'beginner'. Having enjoyed the competition and band comeraderie immensely Rhiannon is settling in to playing 2nd cornet while continuing her work as a nurse at Frankston Hospital.
