RACHEL ZARO
Tenor Horn

Rachel comes to us from the City of Kalgoorlie-Boulder (WA). Her first foray into music was at age 5, when she began copying her father playing guitar. She is a life member of the Goldfields Brass Band, where she began on 3rd cornet at age 8. At Goldfields she spent 15 years playing Flugel Horn, with stints on solo & repiano cornets, solo & 1st horn and euphonium.

Rachel also spent 5 years as a member of the Challenge Brass Band in Perth, where she had the opportunity to play soprano cornet, bass trombone, solo cornet, solo horn and euphonium.

She is now playing 2nd horn with City of Greater Dandenong Band and thoroughly enjoying not playing Bb cornet :)

Her other instruments are guitar and piano, she is also currently attempting to play flute with the Cranbourne Lions Concert Band.
