DAMIEN LORD
Solo Cornet

Band Treasurer

Damien started his musical journey when he first picked up a cornet lying around the house of his very musically influenced parents Allan and Madonna around the age of 5. Having been involved in the brass banding world since being born, it wasn't until the high school years that music started to become a more permanent fixture with his Uncle Colin Lord helping guide him along the way.

Damien played in the top chairs for the Symphonic and Senior Stage Jazz Bands at Ringwood Secondary College from year 8 up until completing VCE and achieving Grade 6 AMEB in Solo Trumpet by the end of year 10. Damien was also involved with his parents for over 10 years at Maroondah Brass starting at 3rd Cornet then finishing on a Solo Cornet chair.

After completing a Finance degree at Swinburne University in 2013, Damien decided to take a year off to travel and snowboard in Canada. On returning home in 2014, Damien found himself back with his parents at Dandenong, being dragged straight to a Solo Cornet chair.

Other hobbies include playing Football, Basketball and being the self titled world champion of Mario Kart 64.
