BRIAN COCKERELL
Third Cornet 
 

 

Brian began playing cornet with Box Hill City Band when 9 years old and remained with the Band for 9 years. After a break of 19 years from banding, he resumed his interest in Bands playing with Nunawading, Preston, Kew, Sunnybank and Surfers Paradise Bands. He joined The Greater City of Dandenong Band immediately after the Nationals this year (2016).

 

Brian spent all of his working life in the IT industry mostly with APM Ltd (now Amcor). His roles included; Managing Operations, Programming, Communications and finally as an IT Manager.

He enjoys playing piano and in his younger years kept fit playing squash. In retirement he uses his computer skills to assist other retirees with their computer problems.
