Percussion

 

Ben started playing percussion in 2010 at age 10. He mainly focused his efforts on the drum kit, playing in the junior concert band and jazz band at his school. In 2015, at age 15, he decided to widen his talent in percussion and began learning tuned percussion and mid 2015 he joined the City of Greater Dandenong Band with his parents and sister.

 

Also in 2015, Ben joined the John Monash Science School, where he joined the school jazz band, successfully competing in division 4 at Mt. Gambier Generations in Jazz, and again in the intermediate jazz ensemble at the Victorian School Music Festival. Ben also enjoys photography, focusing one school project around it, and entering three school photography competitions.
