ALEX DE LACY
Repiano

Alex started her musical journey at the age of 11 when her parents granted her request to begin learning the violin. Commencing Year 7 at Our Lady of Sion College in 2010, Alex chose to learn the trumpet as her compulsory instrument for the year. After falling in love with the instrument (and begging her parents to be allowed to continue both sets of lessons), Alex became very involved in the college music program, playing in nearly every ensemble during her time at the school.

Highlights included playing lead trumpet in both the Senior Concert Band and Jazz Ensemble and being the concertmaster of the Senior String Orchestra, as well as joint performances with the Plan B Big Band, the Heidelberg Wind Ensemble and the Grainger Wind Symphony. Alex particularly enjoyed playing in three college musicals and despite having graduated in 2015, has even agreed to playing in the college production of Anything Goes in 2016.

Alex is currently studying a double-degree in Science and Global Studies at Monash University where she plans to major in Mathematics and Global Cultural Literacies (French).
